Quake 2D

Welcome to my Quake 2 'demake' fan game. This demo includes a tutorial and the outer base level, re-imagined in glorious, bloody pixel art. Includes infamous soundtrack. Worth playing just to listen to that ;)

Whether you're a Quake fan or a newbie to the series that just likes the look of this, I hope you get some enjoyment from this, whether it be nostalgic, getting a platformer shooter fix, or both!

In terms of development, nearly all the Quake 2 logic has been copied and the framework is built, but with this being the first level, not all of this is available yet.  You can enjoy the very same health, armour, pickups, sfx and more, as the original game.

I hope it is bug free for you all to enjoy! This has been an enjoyable 3 month passion project, with all art and code done by myself using Python and Pygame, no game engine.
